Dear all members,

Looking at the good respond for the senior group training on friday evening. The equipment is insufficient for all.

Therefore, we would like to suggest that every each of the member should have their very OWN protection guards such as Shin, Forarm guard, Groin guard, and mouth piece. And we would also like to recommend every member should have a handmitt (cost about S$15 if order in bulk from oversea) for training.

We are planning to have a better training system as most of the "OLD" members are willing to come back for training. Our aims is to have another "John Lim", " Chen Pei Qi", and "Ivan Hong" and so on.................... Think of that kind of training we had last time. The training system will be almost same as the Vietnam National Junior and the Chinese Taipei National level.

So, MEMBERS, prepare yourself if you are joining our Senior group traing on Friday.

Therefore, we had planned to have a BBQ again but this time round will be at the Arana Resort. We intend to have it on the 25 of June 2009 from 3pm onward till next day noon. So members can stay overnight to relax and exchanging their experiences.

The main idea is that we want the new coaches, referees, and first timers who took part in tournament to shares their thought.

Extimated cost will be around S$40 to S$45 each depending on the number of member who are interested to join (including the resort charges).

As the Inter-School competition is approaching fast, our members have been training very hard for it, not forgetting the other upcoming tournaments.

For weeks, our fighter group has been going through intensive trainings for both Poomsae & Kyorugi and has displayed positive attitude in the preparation course for the competition.

Having said that, blisters forming under our feet and pain are already nothing uncommon to us.

Hi to all Members of Anglican TKD!

There have been some major changes to the White 10 and 9 patterns of the syllabus. The patterns have been revised by the Federation and we're glad to inform that both our Master Lee attended the course held on 10 January'09.

Also, 5 of our club instructors joined in the course.
Namely,
JinHao
Shai
Derrick
JunWen
KaiXiang

Our instructors took the time to take part in these courses so as to keep abreast with the updated news and of course, disseminate the latest and most accurate information to the members of Anglican TKD.

Important Information:

The entire White 10 and 9 patterns have been revised.

1) Combined Basic Movements for White 10 (27 steps) -- now, known as Introductory Taegeuk (16 steps).
2) Basic Taegeuk for White 9 (24 steps) -- now known as Preliminary Taegeuk (16 steps)
3) The kicks for each Poomsae pattern have also been amended.

We're eager to spread our knowledge of these two new Poomsae movements to the members so... do not miss out on these during your trainings!

Our members required an oversea trip for China exchange on this coming December. After much preparation, we managed to contact the ShaoLin Temple in Zhen Zhou, Shanghai, and Beijing Sport University.

The departure date will be on the 05 Dec 2008 and back on the 10 Dec 2008. It will be a sightseeing (for parents) and TKD training (for students) and shopping trip.

Unfortunately, our members had shown no respond after all the hard preparation. It is a disappointment, but afterall, we have to carry on with the plan as all contact and promised is done with the China site. So can any member tell what to do now ? how ??????

It was a shame that our member did mentioned this issue during the Nat'l championship to other club instructors. So far, 3 other clubs approaching us for that. So we decided to allow our sister Club (St Teresa TKD) to join in for this trip. But it shown by all our members disagreement.

So we have to cancel the plan ?? but our Club reputation will be down to the drain just in a minutes. Not forgetting, St Teresa TKD Club is in linked with Anglican TKD.

So can the members suggest whether shall we carry on as YOUR REQUIRED ...........

Tan Ching Teck, a senior taekwondo member, examiner and instructor, met with a serious road accident more than a week ago. He has been fighting for his life since his admission to the Intensive Care Unit of the Singapore General Hospital.

The fateful and unfortunate event has taken a heavy toll, emotionally and financially, on his family. Ching Teck’s only son, Tan Kheng Juan, who is also a taekwondo member and instructor, is finding the situation overwhelming. He is trying very hard to be strong for the family.

During this challenging time for Ching Teck and his family, we would like to appeal to all members of the taekwondo fraternity to rally round to help them.

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation is passing the hat around. If you wish to contribute to help the family defray the mounting medical bill, you may do so through the Secretariat.

Anglican Taekwondo Members may donate though Mr Lee Thiam Huat at 98181926.
If you require more clarification, please contact Jolene, Theresa or Rosalind at 63451491.

Congrate to Dr Ng Wee Leng William, for being in the fifth position in the 2nd National Poomsae Competition last week.

He was in the top three ranking during the semi-final match after the two very senior and experience players.

There were 6 senior black belters together with Dr Ng and the other one same like his level went to the final.

We were proud to said that Dr Ng performed very well in this competition and he ended up in the 5th position.

Well done Dr Ng for the good preformance.
